Seeking: LPN Nurse Supervisor 

 

Full Time Hours: 

  • Monday - Friday, 5 AM - 1:30 PM

Your Job as an LPN Nursing Supervisor:

The LPN Nursing Supervisor is responsible for directing care for patients, facilitating work flows, serving as a resource for staff, and providing team leadership in an outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP) environment. The LPN Nursing Supervisor maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with clinic policy and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the Medication Room of the clinic is in full compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policies and procedures.
  • Supervises daily nursing operations for staff.
  • Makes staff assignments, creates schedules, and updates schedules for providers and support staff when changes are made;
  • Supervises and evaluates work activities of nursing, technical, clerical, service or maintenance staff for the work group and other clinic staff.
  • Ensures that medical records for patients are in compliance with clinic policies, federal and state laws/regulations at all times.
  • Review medical records to ensure medical compliance.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities and compliance to operational standards.
  • Participate in program development or implementation of operating policy and procedures.
  • Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Assists with the recruitment, hiring and training of new staff.

 

Compensation for roles at Pine Heights CTC varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Pine Heights CTC provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Maryland as set forth below.

Role Location: Maryland

Calculated Salary Range for role: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year.

Qualifications

Your Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years related nursing practice is required (behavioral health/addiction treatment)
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing supervisory responsibility required; prefer supervisory nursing experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health environments, such as outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities.
  • There must be no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for three years before employment

Ideal Experience:

  • Previous nursing experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, such as outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities.

  • Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including the safe handling, administration, and documentation of methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.

  • Experience in medication dispensing, monitoring patient dosing, and observing for adverse reactions or medication interactions.

  • Understanding of nursing best practices related to substance use treatment, including trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles.

  • Accurate and timely documentation of medication administration records (MARs), patient vitals, and incident reports in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., DEA, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards) related to controlled substances and patient care.

  • Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, counselors, case managers, and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current LPN license in the state of Maryland
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
