We provide a continuum of care that includes Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and mobile treatment units. Full Time Hours: Our early morning hours offer a great work/life balance! Shifts vary, as some days you would work at the House of Corrections (HOC). 

Clinic Hours: Rotating shifts Monday - Friday and every other weekend:

• Weekdays: 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM
• Saturday: 5:45 AM - 8:45 AM
• Sunday: 5:45 AM - 9:45 AM

HOC Hours:

• Weekdays: 4:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Saturday/Sunday: 4:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Your Job as a Charge Nurse:

The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing a nursing work group for a specified shift in an outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP) recovery environment, while maintaining the standards of professional a nursing practice in accordance with clinic policy and procedures. The Charge Nurse is also responsible for directing care to patients, facilitating workflows, serving as a clinical resource for staff, and providing team leadership on a shift-to-shift basis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care for patients as well as monitors and coordinates other nurses and members of the staff on the daily medical or behavioral health care activities of the clinic; schedules staff to ensure full coverage at all times and to ensure effective application of services;
• Leads, guides, and trains employees performing work;
• Oversees and provides direct nursing evaluation, consultation and other related care to patients as required;
• Coordinates services and maintains communication with other departments or staff as required;
• Completes and maintains required documentation;
• Oversees quality assurance activities and compliance to operational standards, participates in program development, development or implementation of operating policy and procedure, and promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices, as requested; and,
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation for roles at East Wareham Comprehensive Treatment Center varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. East Wareham Comprehensive Treatment Center provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Massachusetts as set forth below.

Role Location: Massachusetts

Calculated Salary Range for the role: $35.00 - $37.50 per hour

Your Education, Skills and Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in nursing practice; minimum 1 year supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
• Prefer experience in behavioral health or addiction recovery field environment (inpatient or outpatient)
• Training or experience treating patients with MAT (medication assisted treatment) highly preferred
• There must be no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three years before employment

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current LPN license within the state of Massachusetts
